Interesting choice, given how much he hates the State Dept. ever since he went through Hell adopting a child in Cambodia (I think it was Cambodia....), and was one of the people whom Angelina Jolie magically line-jumped.
There's a scene in Crown of Slaves where he made his feelings about consular personnel very clear, IIRC it involved them being vomited upon.
