Dear Editor,
A photograph in your Internet edition June 27 shows a smiling governor general and a smiling new chief justice at a presentation ceremony. One can overlook these pleasantries, if pressed, at what is supposed to be a serious occasion.
However, one notices that the military officer in the red jacket, obviously an aide-de-camp, was smiling as well. As an aide-de-camp, this officer is not supposed to exhibit outward emotion as they relate to the governor general performing his duties. But then standards fall weekly in the country. What will we see next?
